The Atlanta Asian Film Festival works to provide a cultural bridge between the Asian and non-Asian communities as well as the Asian communities themselves. Through a celebration of films, we intend to bring diverse people together and promote a deeper appreciation for different cultures.
Each year, we strive to pick an eclectic range of films that represent different Asian cultures. ·We hope these films will foster understanding across lines of race, ethnicity, religion, age, and region.
In our inaugral year, we presented films from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Phillipines, and Taiwan. Check out our different links to see background information on the recent history of films in each area.
Please understand that we do not yet have the budget to present films from every Asian culture and country. One day, we hope to have the resources to include a complete range of film selections. The lack of any representation should not be seen as a sign of disrespect, but only as size of our budget.
